Fireplace firebox repairs - to the 5 other units who also received the violation letter regarding observed issues with your firebox - the company who relayed this information did not do a true inspection - it was just an observation. The management and board did not convey the information properly. Per a response to an email I sent to the management co. - this was not an inspection and it is the owner's responsibility to get inspections done. A certified chimney sweep co needs to inspect your fireplace and you will get a true and accurate report and the true facts. Also from the management co. - you need to find out the correct information and then report what your plans are for the repair to your fireplace. In spite of the letter stating you must repair it in 90 days - the management co is now saying they need to hear from you and what you intend to do within 90 days.
    I am sure as all responsible owners you understand the fireplaces are unsafe until the repairs are properly done and none of us will take the chance of burning our homes down by using our fireplaces. I hope this information helps you to understand the actual facts and situation you are facing so things can be dealt with accordingly.
